A Planted Technology seat bracket for the BMW 5 Series on the E60 chassis, 2003 to 2010. Part number SB182.

The E60 takes its own bracket. BMW changed the floor between the E39 before it and the F10 after it, so the chassis code is the fitment rather than a guide.

The M5 is a special case, and not in a good way for this job

The E60 M5 has the V10, and it also has some of the most heavily equipped seats BMW have ever fitted: powered adjustment in several planes, active side bolsters that inflate in corners, heating, memory and airbags. There is a great deal of wiring and mechanism in one of those seats.

Taking one out is a proper job rather than four bolts, and the car will complain about it afterwards unless it is done properly. Tell us the specification before you order anything and we will work through what needs dealing with. This is not a car to unbolt and think about later.

On the ordinary cars

Considerably simpler, though side airbags and occupancy sensing are still there. A 535d or 530i makes a good fast road or track car and the standard seat is the limit long before the chassis is.

Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
