The Cobra Misano Lux, a lightweight reclining sport seat. Part number COBMIS-LUX.
A composite backrest on a steel reclining base
That combination is the engineering of this seat. A reclining mechanism needs a rigid, accurately made metal chassis to work properly and last; a backrest wants to be light and stiff, which is what composites are for. Putting the two together is harder than it sounds, and it is why most reclining seats are entirely steel and heavier for it.
The backrest comes in pure carbon or carbon reinforced aluminium composite, both presented as a visible finish rather than hidden under trim. The chassis work is polished stainless steel.
Reclining, but not a soft seat
High density precision moulded polyurethane foam rather than the soft padding a road seat would use. That is what gives support that holds through a corner instead of compressing and letting you move.
So this sits between a competition bucket and a road seat and does not pretend otherwise. You keep the recline and the ability to drive a long way; you give up the last of the lateral hold a fixed back gives you.

885mm tall, 590mm wide, 620mm deep on a 520mm base, at 11.5kg. Base mount at the standard Cobra 291mm x 330mm pattern. 4 point harness compatible.
Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated, which follows from it being a reclining seat: reclining mechanisms are not what competition regulations expect.
