The Accent replaced the Pony and the Excel, which were licensed Mitsubishi designs, and it was the first car Hyundai developed with their own platform and engine. It is not a good car by any standard, but it is a genuinely significant one in the company’s history.

Which is not why anyone buys this bracket

They buy it because a first generation Accent costs nothing and nobody cares what happens to it, which makes it a sensible thing to learn in. That is a perfectly good reason.

Check the floor before anything else

These were built to a price thirty years ago and they rust comprehensively. Get the carpet up and look properly at the metal round every mounting point. If it is soft, sort it before a seat goes near it, because a bracket can only feed seat load into sound structure.
