A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Acura TL, 1996 to 1998. Part number SB205.

The first generation TL. We list three and none interchange: 1999 to 2003 is SB179 and 2004 to 2008 is SB258.

The five cylinder one

Worth knowing because it is unusual. The first TL was offered with a 2.5 litre inline five, which Honda almost never built, alongside a 3.2 V6. The five cylinder cars are the odd ones and have a small following purely for that.

In Japan the related cars were the Honda Inspire and Saber. If you have an import, send us the chassis number.

What the swap is realistically for

These are approaching thirty years old and were built as comfortable executive saloons. The honest reason for a seat change is usually a collapsed original rather than track work.

Ask us about padded or reclining options rather than a fixed racing bucket if that is your situation.

Get the carpet up and check the metal, given the age.
