A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Acura TL, 2004 to 2008. Part number SB258.

The third generation TL, and the best of them. We list three TL brackets and none interchange: 1996 to 1998 is SB205, 1999 to 2003 is SB179 and this is SB258.

The Type S

The 3.5 V6 Type S is what people build. It came with a six speed manual, a limited slip differential and Brembo brakes, which was an unusually serious specification for a car most people thought of as a comfortable Honda saloon.

That is where the seat becomes the limit. A standard TL seat is built for covering distance quietly, and the moment you use the Type S properly you are bracing against it rather than steering.
