A Planted Technology seat bracket for the BMW 3 and 4 Series, M3 and M4, across the F30, F31, F32, F33, F34, F36, F80, F82 and F83 chassis, 2011 onwards. Part number SB223.

Nine chassis codes, so send us the registration

BMW used one seat mounting arrangement across the saloon, touring, coupe, convertible, Gran Turismo and Gran Coupe of this era, plus the M3 and M4, which is why one design covers all of them. That is genuinely useful.

What is not useful is that we also list a second bracket under SB223-1 with an even vaguer title. Rather than have you guess between them, tell us the registration and we will name the part. We are rewriting both listings with proper fitment data.

The M3 and M4 seat question

The F80 and F82 could be specified with carbon bucket seats from the factory, and they are excellent and worth serious money. If yours has them, tell us what you are trying to solve before you spend anything.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
