A Planted Technology seat bracket for the VW CC, 2008 to 2017. Part number SB296.

The CC started life as the Passat CC and shares its underpinnings with the Passat of the period, though the two take separate parts here.

The roofline is the thing

A CC is a Passat with about 50mm taken out of the roof, which is the entire styling idea and also the practical problem. Headroom is noticeably tighter than in the saloon it is based on, particularly in the back but also for a tall driver in the front.

That makes getting properly low a real gain rather than a preference. If you are over six foot, a CC is a car where the seat height genuinely matters. Tell us your height before you order.

What it is not

A sports car. The CC is a comfortable four door coupe, and if the car covers distance, ask us about padded or reclining options rather than a hard racing shell.
