A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Toyota Tundra, second generation on the XK50 chassis, 2007 onwards. Part number SB308.

Toyota opened a plant in Texas specifically to build this Tundra and made it genuinely full size for the first time, with the 5.7 litre V8 that gave it credibility against the domestic trucks.

The TRD Pro version is the one set up for going quickly on rough ground rather than crawling, and it is where a supportive seat earns its keep. At speed on a broken surface the truck moves constantly and the standard bench or bucket lets you move with it.

What you are not doing

Sitting lower. The height is a large part of why you have a full size pickup, so the aim is being held rather than being low.

Trim

If it works or sees mud and water, ask us about neoprene rather than velour. Fabric absorbs everything and never recovers.
