A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Chevrolet Camaro, sixth generation, 2016 onwards. Part number SB284.

The 2010 to 2015 cars take SB137, and the ZL1 of that generation takes SB137.1.

The Alpha platform

General Motors put the sixth generation Camaro on the same architecture as the Cadillac ATS, which took around 90kg out of it and finally gave the car a chassis worthy of the engine. The 1LE packages are genuinely track focused rather than cosmetic.

Visibility is the known complaint

High belt line, small glass and thick pillars, carried over from the fifth generation. Adding a competition shell lowers you further, which makes an already poor view worse.

That is worth thinking through honestly before you order. Tell us your height and how the car is used, because on this car the height you end up at matters more than on most.

The Recaros

Optional on the SS and standard on some 1LE and ZL1 cars, and they are good. Tell us what yours has, and note a factory Recaro will not bolt to standard side mounts.

Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
