A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Acura Integra, 1994 to 2001. Part number SB031.

The DC2. In this country and Japan it is the Honda Integra, and the Type R version of it is widely reckoned the finest front wheel drive car ever built.

What made the Type R

Honda hand ported the B18C heads, seam welded the shell, fitted a helical limited slip differential and took out sound deadening, the rear wiper and a good deal else. It is a homologation exercise sold as a road car and it drives like one.

Which is why originality matters now

DC2 Type R values have gone somewhere serious. The factory Recaros are a substantial part of that and are worth real money on their own. If they come out, store them and every fixing somewhere dry and label them.

The bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut, which on a car being watched this closely is the only sensible approach.

A factory Recaro will not bolt to standard side mounts. Get the carpet up and check the metal, given the age.
