A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Mazda 3, third generation. Part number SB264.

The BM and BN cars, 2013 to 2018. We list three Mazda 3 brackets and none interchange: SB260, this one, and SB404 for the fourth generation. Send us the registration and we will name the part.

What changed with this generation

Mazda’s Skyactiv work, which took real weight out of the car and sharpened the chassis considerably. This is the generation where the 3 became genuinely good to drive rather than merely competent, and it is why they turn up at track days.

There is no MPS version of this generation. Mazda dropped the turbocharged model after the previous one, so if you are looking for a Mazdaspeed 3, that is an earlier car.

What the swap gains you

The standard seat is comfortable and offers very little laterally, which shows up quickly once you use the chassis properly.

Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

We bring a batch over roughly every 3 to 5 weeks. Everything in each batch is pre-sold against a customer order, so the sooner your order is in, the sooner it ships.
