A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Chevrolet Camaro, 1982 to 1992. Part number SB058.
The third generation, the flat nosed one, and the first Camaro with a hatchback and a proper attempt at handling. The fourth generation from 1993 takes SB059, which also covers the Firebird.
Why this generation in particular
It is the cheapest way into a rear wheel drive American V8 and the aftermarket for LS engine swaps into them is enormous. That combination means most surviving third generation Camaros have had work, and the ones being seated are usually being built rather than restored.
The Firebird does not share this part
Worth noting, because the two were built alongside each other. The 1982 to 1992 Firebird takes SB140. From 1993 they do share a bracket. Order on the badge as well as the year.
Practical
Third generation Camaros rust and few were cherished. Get the carpet up and look at the metal round the mounting points before you spend anything.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
