The naming here genuinely varies by country. UK buyers typically call the 2008 to 2017 Fiesta the Mk7; the same car is numbered Mk6 in European markets, which is why Sparco and OMP both list their fitting frames as “Mk6/Mk7”. It is not the earlier, rounder-bodied 2002 to 2008 car, which is sometimes mislabelled the Mk6 by owners and is covered by a separate guide.
The ST180 gets seated far more often than the ordinary Fiesta of the same generation, and for good reason: it is quick enough to need the support. It also has different floor mounting points from the standard Mk6/Mk7, so it needs its own sub-frame. Using the standard frame in an ST180 will not give correct alignment, and the badge is often the only visible difference between the two, so check the car rather than assume.

Mounting: standard Fiesta
Six brands list a direct-fit sub-frame for the standard Mk6/Mk7 Fiesta. The Sparco frame (14833) at £77.50 and OMP frame (17739) at £147.66 both cover the 345mm x 271mm base-mount pattern; the OMP frame adds the larger 405mm x 290mm pattern for Recaro compatibility. Ford kept the same floor mounting points across both national naming conventions, so one frame covers a car built anywhere from 2008 through to 2017.
The Cobra (14460) at £231.66 and Corbeau (14603) at £245 sub-frames are the brand-specific options. The Planted Technology bracket (18053) at £222.60 covers the Mark VI specifically for 2008-2019. The SW Motorsport frame (243720) at £134.89 is a further option at a lower price point.
For side mount, the Sparco FIA steel brackets (13876) carry their own FIA approval. If fitting a Cobra Nogaro shell, the Cobra Nogaro steel side mounts (123880) are cut specifically for that seat and are not compatible with other Cobra seats.

Mounting: Fiesta ST180
The ST180 needs its own sub-frameThe ST180 has different floor mounting points from the standard Mk6/Mk7 Fiesta. Using the standard sub-frame will not give correct alignment. Check the car rather than the badge, which is often the only visible external difference.
All four major brands list an ST180-specific sub-frame. The Sparco (231438) at £77.50 and OMP (231441) at £143.52 both use the same bolt patterns as the standard frames, but on ST180-specific geometry. The Planted Technology ST180 bracket (231444) at £224.95 and Cobra ST180 sub-frame (231447) at £255.00 round out the range.

Most seats here carry FIA 8855-1999 approval. The Sparco Sprint at £252.00 and Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 are dual-mount options at a similar price, the Cobra offering a steel shell. The OMP Champ-R at £381.60 and Mirco RTS-2 3D at £400.80 are lighter fibreglass alternatives.

Harnesses
Harnesses need a roll cage or harness barA 4-point, 5-point or 6-point harness with separate shoulder straps needs proper attachment points above and behind the seat. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar before using anything above a 3-point belt.
The TRS Clubman 3-point bolt-in at £96.00 and 4-point clip-in at £120.00 both use the standard seat belt anchor points and do not need a cage. For 4-point competition use, the TRS Magnum 4-point FIA at £246.00 and the Takata Drift II at £274.80 are the step up.

Is this the Mk6 or the Mk7?

Does the ST180 use the same sub-frame as the standard Fiesta?

Can I run a 6-point harness without a roll cage?
No. A 6-point harness needs anchor points above and behind the seat for the shoulder straps. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar first. A 3-point bolt-in harness uses the standard seat belt anchor points and does not need a cage.
