The ST180 specifically
Not the standard Fiesta of the same generation, which is a different frame. Check which you have before ordering, because the two are easy to confuse on a car where the badge is the main external difference.
Why this car in particular
The ST180 gets seated far more often than the ordinary Fiesta, and for a specific reason: it is quick enough, and its chassis lively enough, that the driver ends up bracing against the door card to stay in place.
Once you are holding yourself in with your left leg against the tunnel, you are not using that leg to brake properly. That is the real argument for a bucket in a car like this, and it is worth more than any lap time claim.
The factory Recaros are good seats. They are also built around a three point belt, so they stop making sense the moment a harness goes in.
