A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Audi A5 and S5, first generation, 2007 to 2016. Part number SB166.

What the S5 needs

The early S5 has the 4.2 V8, which is a heavy engine over the front axle, and the car carries a lot of speed with a great deal of grip. That combination loads you sideways harder than the power figure suggests. The standard seat is comfortable and it gives you nothing to brace against once you are using the car properly.

Nine years is a long generation

Audi facelifted the car partway through and specified the A5 and S5 very differently. The second generation from 2016 takes SB347 and does not interchange, so if your car sits near that boundary, send us the registration.

Before anything comes out

Side airbags, occupancy sensing and powered adjustment are all in these seats, and higher specifications add memory. Tell us the specification.
