A Model 3 carries high voltage cabling and the battery pack forms the floor structure itself, which is not the case on most hybrids where the pack sits in the boot or under the rear seat. There is also a great deal of low voltage wiring under the front seats for occupancy sensing, airbags and powered adjustment.

If you are not entirely certain what runs where, have the work done by someone who is. This is not a car to unbolt and work out afterwards, and the consequences of getting it wrong are not the usual ones.

What the bracket does

It picks up the factory mounting points, so the standard seat comes out whole and nothing is drilled or welded. On a car whose floor is a battery pack, that is not a preference, it is the only approach.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
