A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Honda Civic three door hatchback, 1988 to 1989. Part number SB168.

A narrow window, and deliberately so: Honda changed the EF Civic partway through the run. We also sell this design as a pair under SB168-X2, which works out better if you are doing both sides.

What makes an EF worth building

Double wishbone suspension at both ends on an ordinary hatchback, which is what set Hondas of this era apart and why they are still competitive in club events thirty five years on. They are also extremely light.

That weight is the reason to think carefully about the seat. A heavy steel framed shell gives back a genuinely significant slice of what makes the car quick, so ask us about the lighter GRP and composite options rather than defaulting to the cheapest steel seat.

Practical

These rust and almost all have been modified by previous owners. Get the carpet up and check the metal round all four mounting points before you spend anything.
