A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Dodge Challenger, 1970 to 1974. Part number SB207.

The E-body, which shares its floor with the Plymouth Barracuda of the same years. Close relatives, separate part numbers here.

Four years, and Dodge never repeated it

The original Challenger ran from 1970 to 1974 and that was the end of it until the name came back thirty four years later. The 1970 R/T with the 426 Hemi is the one at the top of the market, and even the ordinary cars are worth real money now.

Watch for clones

A great many base Challengers have been rebuilt as R/T tributes. If you are working on one and are not certain what the shell actually is, the fender tag and VIN will tell you, and it matters before you spend anything on it.

Reversible, and documented

The bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut. Store the original seats and every fixing somewhere dry and label them.

Fifty five year old floors are rarely original. Get the carpet up and look.
