A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Chevrolet Corvette on the C5 chassis, 1997 to 2004. Part number SB198.

The C5 is where the Corvette got a rear transaxle and a hydroformed chassis, and it is the generation that turned the car into a proper circuit machine rather than a straight line one. C5s are cheap now and quick enough to be worth building, which is why they turn up with competition seats far more often than a car of that value normally would.

Read this if you are cross shopping with the later cars

The C6 and C7 bracket carries a specific note about the seat belt tab being on the inboard side only, and the ZR1 bracket carries a stronger warning still. Belt arrangement is not something to assume carries over between Corvette generations. Photograph your seat area with the carpet back and send it to us before you order.
