A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Chevrolet Colorado, second generation, 2012 onwards. Part number SB320.

The ZR2 is the one

General Motors gave it Multimatic DSSV spool valve dampers, which is genuinely serious hardware borrowed from motorsport and rare on a production pickup. It is built to be driven quickly on rough ground rather than crawled over rocks.

That is exactly the use case where a seat that holds you earns its keep. At speed on a broken surface the truck moves constantly and the standard seat lets you move with it, which is tiring within an hour.

What you are not doing

Sitting lower. The height is part of why you have a pickup, so the aim is support rather than position.

Trim matters

If it sees mud and water, ask us about neoprene trimmed shells rather than velour. Fabric absorbs everything and never really recovers.

Side airbags and occupancy sensing. Handed, so order twice for a pair.
