A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Honda Civic Si, 2002 to 2005. Part number SB043.

The Si of these years is the EP3, which in this country and in Japan is the Civic Type R.

Three cars, one shell, very different specifications

The American Si is the mildest. The UK Type R got a higher output K20 and, crucially, the Japanese JDM Type R got a different again engine, a limited slip differential as standard and a helical gearset. If yours is an import, send us the chassis number rather than the registration.

The Recaros

UK Type R cars came with Recaro seats and they are worth real money as prices on good EP3s climb. Store them and their fixings properly if they come out, and label them.

Note also that a factory Recaro will not bolt to standard side mounts.

The gearstick

Worth mentioning on an EP3: the dashboard mounted shifter means the centre console area is unusual, and it changes what clearance you have beside the seat. Tell us your build and we will check.
