A Planted Technology seat bracket for the VW Golf Mk2. Part number SB028-4875.

The suffix places it in the SB028 family, shared with the Mk2 Jetta. The two cars are the same floorpan with a different back end, which is why one design covers both.

Values have moved a long way

A good Mk2 GTI or 16v is worth real money now, and original interiors are a large part of that. If the car has Recaro seats, they are worth money on their own and worth storing properly rather than letting them go with the car.

This bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut, which matters on a car people are now restoring rather than modifying.

The floor check is a real one

Mk2s rust, and thirty five year old ones that have been used deserve a serious look with the carpet up. Look at the metal round all four mounting points and at the seams. A bracket can only feed seat load into sound structure.
