Body on frame, and the last of them
The Panther platform is a separate chassis with a body bolted on top, rear wheel drive, with a live axle. Ford built it until 2011 and nothing has replaced it. That construction is why they are indestructible and why police forces kept buying them long after the rest of the industry had moved on.
