A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Audi A3 and S3, third generation, 2012 onwards. Part number SB222.

The 8V. Audi moved the A3 onto the MQB platform for this generation, which is a genuinely different structure from the PQ35 underneath the 8P before it. That is why the bracket changes, and it is why an 8P part will not do.

The RS3 is the interesting one

Five cylinder, turbocharged, four wheel drive, and quick enough that a great many end up on track. Audi offered bucket style seats on some RS3 specifications and they are worth keeping if you have them, so tell us what yours has before you spend.

The 8V ran a long time with a facelift partway through, and the A3, S3 and RS3 were specified very differently from each other. Two minutes confirming saves ordering the wrong part.

The electronics come first

A car this recent has side airbags, occupancy sensing and, on most specifications, powered adjustment in the factory seats. Taking one out without dealing with that properly lights up the dashboard and can leave the airbag system in a state it should not be in.
