Unlike the earlier Focus, the Mk3 was a genuine world car, so the version sold here and the American one are much closer than they used to be. Even so, send us the registration before ordering to confirm the fit for your specific car.
Planted Technology is currently the only brand with a dedicated seat bracket for this generation. That is a genuine reflection of the market for a platform this size and age, not a gap in what we stock.

Mounting
The Planted Technology bracket (18056, part SB175) at £185.50 covers the Mk3 from 2011 to 2018 and works with a range of seat types. Planted note that this was Ford’s first genuine world-car Focus, so UK and US specification are much closer than on the earlier generations. For side mount, the Sparco FIA steel brackets (13876) carry their own FIA approval. Add the Sparco sliding runner kit (14036) for fore-aft adjustment.

Competition bucket seats
Most seats here carry FIA 8855-1999 approval. The Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 is the steel-shelled dual-mount option. The OMP Champ-R at £318 and OMP TRS-E Sky at £243 are lighter fibreglass alternatives, side mount and HANS-compatible.
The Mirco RS2 3D at £354.50 and Mirco RS1 3D at £372 sit in the same bracket. The Sparco Evo QRT at £475 is a dual-mount FIA shell suited to an ST or RS built for regular track use. The Corbeau Sprint X System 1 XL at £600 and Revenge X System 1 at £650 are the newest-standard FIA seats in this range, the XL sized for taller drivers.

Competition seats for the Focus Mk3Which bucket seat for a Ford Focus Mk3
For a track day car, the OMP Champ-R at £318 is a lighter FIA-rated fibreglass option. If the car sees contact, the Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 trades some weight for a steel shell. For an ST or RS built properly for circuit work, the Sparco Evo QRT at £475 or the Corbeau Revenge X System 1 at £650 give strong support through fast corners. Reclining sport seats
Reclining sport seats fit the Planted bracket, and the right combination should be confirmed with us before ordering. The Sparco R100 at £235 and R100 Martini Racing at £291.66 are the accessible starting points, both giving a real step up in lateral support over the factory seat.
The Sparco R500 Fabric at £274.16 and R500 Sky at £290.83 sit between the R100 range and the premium options. The Cobra Daytona at £499.17 is the Cobra fibreglass recliner. The Corbeau PSR pair at £465 and Sportline RRS pair at £830 round out the Corbeau range. At the top, the Cobra Misano Anniversary at £1374.17 is a premium reclining seat for a full interior rebuild.

The Sparco R100 at £235 is a sensible road-car starting point. The Corbeau PSR pair at £465 is worth considering if you are fitting both sides, since the price per seat is competitive. For a car that sees regular track use, the Corbeau Sportline RRS pair at £830 gives noticeably more lateral support. For a full interior rebuild, the Cobra Misano Anniversary at £1374.17 is the seat in this guide built to that standard.
Roll cages
Safety Devices list two bolt-in options for the Mk3 (2010-2018), both Motorsport UK homologated when installation is approved: the full multipoint cage (250924) at £1019.14, and the rear-only version (250936) at £592.80 for a lighter build. Both front cages penetrate the dashboard and are steel, bolt-in construction.
The Custom Cages weld-in T45 kit (246414) at £1545 is MSUK compliant, built in the UK with multipoint mounting (8-point minimum), suited to circuit racing, time attack, drifting, hillclimbs, sprints, track days, rallying and rallycross.

Harnesses
Harnesses need a roll cage or harness barA 4-point, 5-point or 6-point harness with separate shoulder straps needs proper attachment points above and behind the seat. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar before using anything above a 3-point belt.
The TRS Clubman 3-point bolt-in at £80 and 4-point clip-in at £100 both use the standard seat belt anchor points and do not need a cage. For 4-point competition use, the TRS Magnum 4-point FIA at £205 and the Takata Drift II at £229 are the step up.
For 6-point harnesses, the cage goes in first. The TRS Magnum 6-point Superlite FIA at £245, the Takata Drift III at £270, and the Schroth Profi 3×2 at £370 all suit a caged Focus Mk3 going to competition or serious track days.

Common questions
Why is there only one fitting bracket brand?
This is a genuine reflection of the current aftermarket for a platform this size, rather than a gap in what we stock. Planted Technology is currently the only brand with a dedicated bracket for the Mk3.
Is there a roll cage for the Mk3?
Yes. Safety Devices list two bolt-in options confirmed for 2010-2018, both Motorsport UK homologated when installation is approved. Custom Cages offer a weld-in T45 multipoint kit that is MSUK compliant, for a more serious competition build.
Does the bracket suit any seat?

Can I run a 6-point harness without a roll cage?
No. A 6-point harness needs anchor points above and behind the seat for the shoulder straps. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar first. A 3-point bolt-in harness uses the standard seat belt anchor points and does not need a cage.
