Not an M car, and that changes the sums
The M240i is the quick 2 Series rather than the M2, and its seats are ordinary sport seats rather than the expensive items an M car carries. That makes the decision to fit a bucket a good deal easier: you are not setting aside several thousand pounds of factory seat to do it.
It also means the standard seat is a weaker starting point, so the improvement from a proper shell is larger here than on the M2.
Plenty of engine for the seat to matter
The turbocharged six gives this car more pace than the chassis flatters, and it is quick enough that a driver ends up bracing against the door card and the transmission tunnel. That is the thing a bucket removes.

Will this fit my car?

Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern) and 405mm x 290mm (the Recaro seat pattern). If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
