The harness is usually the reason
A factory seat is designed around a three point belt. It has no harness slots, and running a six point through a seat that was not built for one is the compromise people are trying to remove when they fit a bucket.
That is worth separating from comfort. The standard F87 seat is comfortable and supportive on the road. It is the belt geometry, not the seat, that fails on track.

Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern) and 405mm x 290mm (the Recaro seat pattern). If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
