A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Toyota Hilux, fourth generation on the N50, N60 and N70 chassis, 1984 to 1988. Part number SB369.

Three chassis codes on one bracket, covering different body and drivetrain combinations on the same floor. The third generation takes SB409 and the fifth takes SB300.

The solid front axle generation

This is the last Hilux with a solid front axle on the four wheel drive versions, which is why serious off road builders chase it. Toyota moved to independent front suspension for the fifth generation and the purists have never forgiven them.

It is also the truck from the film that everybody remembers, which has not hurt values.

What the seat change is for

Support over a long day on rough ground. A forty year old original seat has usually collapsed into something with no shape left, so this is often a comfort upgrade first.
