A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Jaguar XKR, 2006 to 2014. Part number SB366.

The X150 XKR, with the supercharged V8 and an aluminium bonded and riveted structure rather than a conventional steel monocoque.

That construction is worth knowing about

An aluminium bonded body is not something to start drilling or welding. This bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut, which on a car built this way is not a preference but the only sensible approach. If anyone suggests fabricating something instead, that is a conversation worth having carefully.

What the XKR is for

Covering ground quickly in comfort. It is a grand tourer, and the ones being seated are usually either being built for track days or having tired seats replaced. Those want different things.

If the car stays on the road, ask us about padded or reclining options rather than a hard racing shell, because an XKR interior and a bare competition bucket sit oddly together and the car does not reward it.
