VW Scirocco Mk2 bucket seat guide
1981 to 1992
Planted, Corbeau and Cobra all confirm a fitting frame for the Scirocco Mk2, each a separate listing to the Mk1 rather than a shared one. Schroth build a harness belt specifically for this car, and Custom Cages list two cages that cover both the Mk1 and Mk2 on shared floorpan geometry.
Note that VW revived the Scirocco name for an unrelated modern car built from 2008 to 2017. Cage and product listings for that car turn up in a general Scirocco search but do not fit this classic Mk2, so this guide only uses parts explicitly confirmed for the 1981 to 1992 shell.

Three fitting frames
Planted confirm a bracket for the Scirocco Mk2 at £222.60, base mount, its own listing rather than shared with the Mk1. Corbeau offer a frame at £245 and Cobra at £205.00. All bolt to the factory floor mounting points. Most bucket seats on this page are side mount, so a set of side mounts on top of the Planted bracket is the usual route for a Sparco, OMP or Mirco seat.

The Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 is the cheapest FIA shell. The OMP Champ-R at £381.60 and the Mirco GT Grey Edition at £392.40 sit in the middle, and the OMP WRC-R at £525.60 and the Sparco Evo QRT at £570.00 sit at the top of the range.

Reclining sport seats
The Sparco R100 at £235 is the entry point. The Auto Style Type Retro Fabric and Type Retro, both £302.50, have a period-flavoured look, and the Sparco GT at £505.90 sits above them. Harnesses
Schroth build a QuickFit ASM harness belt specifically for the Scirocco Mk2 at £277.97. It carries Road and Track approval rather than an FIA rating, so it suits a road or fast road car rather than an FIA-regulated competition entry.
For FIA competition, the Schroth Profi 3×2 at £444.01 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £245 are both FIA 8853-2016. The TRS Magnum 4 Point at £205 is FIA 8854-1998. All three carry a stamped expiry date regardless of wear. The standard rear seat belt mounts are not rated for harness shoulder strap loads, so one of the cages below, a bolt-in harness bar, or a fabricated anchor point is needed for any of these. For a road or trackday car, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less, though none of those four are HANS compatible.

Roll cages
Custom Cages build a CDS kit at £998.57 and a T45 kit at £1,818.30, both titled to cover the Mk1 and Mk2 on shared floorpan geometry. A general Scirocco search also turns up Safety Devices and OMP cages titled specifically for the Mk1, and a wider range from JP Cages, SW Motorsports, OMP and Custom Cages titled for the modern Mk3 (2008-2017), an unrelated car built after VW revived the name. None of those fit the classic Mk2.
If competing, check the specification against your class regulations before ordering, and keep the sign-off paperwork with the logbook. Pad any tube within reach of a helmet, and tell your insurer, because a cage is a notifiable modification.
