A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Toyota Tacoma, mid 1995 to 2004, for bench seat models. Part number SB340.

The bench qualifier is the fitment. Trucks with separate seats take SB208. Look at what is actually in the truck rather than what it left the factory with, and send us a photograph if you are unsure.

Going from a bench to a single seat

Worth thinking through. You lose the middle position entirely, and if anyone ever sits there, that changes what the truck is for. Plenty of people do it anyway because a supportive seat over a long day is worth more than a seat nobody uses.

The frame recall

First generation Tacomas became notorious for frame corrosion and Toyota ran a buyback and frame replacement programme. If you are buying one to build, find out whether the frame was replaced, because it materially changes what you have.
