Planted Technology seat brackets for BMW 3 Series, 4 Series and M models. Part number SB223-1.

Send us the registration before you order this one

This listing is too broad to order from safely and we know it. BMW’s 3 Series, 4 Series and M models across the years covered by that description sit on several different floors, and we carry a number of brackets across them, including SB120 for the E92 coupe, SB121 for the E46 saloon and SB006 for the E36 coupe.

Tell us the registration and we will tell you exactly which part your car takes. We are rewriting this listing with proper fitment data rather than leaving it as a range.

What is true across all of them

The bracket picks up the factory mounting points, so the standard seats come out whole and go back in at sale, and nothing is drilled or welded. On an M car with factory bucket seats worth real money, that matters.

Every BMW in this span has side airbags and most have occupancy sensing. Tell us the specification and we will work through what needs dealing with before anything comes out.

Will this fit my car?
This frame is car-specific, so match the vehicle in the product name to your exact car and generation. If you are unsure, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

Availability

Planted brackets are special order from the USA

We bring a batch over roughly every 3 to 5 weeks. Everything in each batch is pre-sold against a customer order, so the sooner your order is in, the sooner it ships.

Need it faster? Ask us before you order. We occasionally hold overstock of the popular models, and we can tell you what is on the shelf.

Special order, so non-returnable once shipped

Once your bracket has shipped from the USA for your order, our non-returnable policy applies. It was bought in for you specifically.

That makes it worth getting right first time. Send us your car and the seat you are fitting and we will confirm the correct bracket before you buy.
