The C30 sits on Ford’s C1 platform, which it shares with the second generation Focus and the Mazda 3 of the same period. Worth knowing when you are researching what other people have fitted, though each of those takes its own bracket here.
The T5 is the reason
Five cylinder turbo, front wheel drive, and considerably quicker than the shape suggests. There is also the Polestar tuned version. In a car with that much torque going through the front axle, a driver bracing against the seat rather than steering is losing time, and the standard Volvo seat is built for comfort over distance.
Space is worth checking
A C30 is a three door with a short cabin and a substantial centre console. Shell width matters more than it would in a saloon, so tell us your height and build and we will make sure the seat fits the car and you rather than have you find out on the day.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
