A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Nissan NV350 Caravan, sixth generation on the E26 chassis, 2012 onwards. Part number SB373.

A Japanese market van, so a UK vehicle is an import.

Why these get imported

Camper conversions, mostly. The NV350 is narrower and considerably shorter than a Transit or a Sprinter, which makes it usable as a day van and easy to park, and the Japanese import market has made a specialism of them.

Race transporters and support vehicles are the other use, where the driver is in the seat for long motorway runs.

Both cases want comfort over lateral support

A hard competition shell is the wrong tool for a van. Ask us about the more heavily padded options, or a reclining seat rather than a fixed bucket. In a camper a reclining seat also earns its keep when the van is parked.

Space

Van cabs are narrower than they look once a shell goes in, and the seat has to clear the door and the engine cover. Tell us your height and what the van is for.
