A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Kia Optima, fourth generation on the JF chassis, 2015 to 2020. Part number SB398.

The generation before the car became the K5, which takes SB394. The Hyundai Sonata of the same period shares this platform, so send us the registration if that is what you have.

The 2.0 turbo Optima GT is the version worth building. It is not a sports saloon but it is quick enough and it handles considerably better than the badge suggests, which is where the interest comes from.

The ordinary Optimas are comfortable transport, and a great many of them are minicabs and fleet cars with enormous mileages. The honest reason for a seat swap there is a collapsed original.
