A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Audi A6 and S6 on the C7 chassis, 2011 to 2018. Part number SB348.

C7 is the chassis code and it is what to order on. The A7, S7 and RS7 of the same period share this platform but take SB342, so they are separate parts despite the relationship.

The C7 S6 is a V8

Twin turbocharged 4.0, with cylinder deactivation, in a large saloon or estate that weighs close to two tonnes. The RS6 Avant built on this platform is one of the fastest estates ever sold and is the reason most people know the generation.

What you are actually buying

Not weight saving. In a car this heavy a steel framed shell will not register on the scales, and it is worth being clear about that.

What changes is that you stop moving about, and in a two tonne car generating this much grip you move about more than the plush interior lets on.
