Values decide the approach
A documented Z/28 or SS396 is worth serious money and the 1969 cars in particular have gone a long way. Nobody should be cutting one of these floors. This bracket picks up the factory mounting points, so the original seats come out whole, go into storage and go back in. Label the fixings.
Subframe connectors matter more than the seat
Worth saying on a first generation Camaro specifically. These have a partial front subframe bolted to a unitary rear, and the joint flexes. A great many have had connectors fitted. If yours has, that is good news for how the seat load is carried; if it has not, and the car is being used hard, that is a bigger conversation than the seat.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
