A Planted Technology seat bracket for the BMW Z4 and M Coupe and Roadster, 2002 to 2008. Part number SB126.

The E85 roadster and E86 coupe. The M versions of both are the ones people build.

The M Coupe is the interesting one

BMW put the S54 straight six from the E46 M3 into a short, stiff shooting brake body. It is one of the more focused things they have built and it is appreciating sharply because so few were made.

If yours is an M Coupe, keep everything original that you can. The bracket picks up the factory mounting points so nothing is cut, and the seats come out whole.

Space in the coupe versus the roadster

Genuinely different. The coupe has a fixed roof and a hard headroom limit; the roadster does not but has the hood mechanism behind you. Both are tight round the shoulders. Tell us which body you have and your height, because the right shell differs between them.

Side airbags are fitted. Handed, so order twice for a pair.
