Two names, one car: the Mk5 Polo is the 6R from 2009 and the 6C from the 2014 facelift. The facelift changed the lights, the bumpers, the steering and the engines, not the floor, so the seat mounting points are the same on both. OMP list this frame for the 6R. We know it fits the 6C for that reason, and we list it here so a 6C owner can find it. The part is the same as the 6R listing linked below.

The Mk5 has its own frame, and the 6C shares it
Unusually for a VW of this size, the Mk5 Polo does not share a frame with anything else we list, and the 6C facelift did not change that: 6R and 6C take the same frame. The earlier 9N Polo sits in a different family alongside the Fabia and the Ibiza 6L, so ordering on the model name rather than the generation gets you the wrong part.

Space is the thing to check
A Polo is a small car and a bucket seat is wider at the shoulders than the standard item. Before you commit to a seat, measure the gap between the tunnel and the sill, because a wide shell in a narrow car is the expensive mistake in this category.

What the frame gives you
Two bolt patterns from the multi-hole clusters at each corner: 345mm by 271mm for Sparco, OMP and Corbeau seats, and 405mm by 290mm for Recaro. That keeps the seat choice open, which matters more in a small car where fewer shells fit.
Fitting and ordering
Steel, base mount, bolting to the floor points already in the car. Nothing drilled, and the standard seats come out whole.
Sold singly and handed. Order twice for both sides. Side mount shells need side mounts or adaption bars over the frame.
