F22 is the chassis code for the 2 Series coupe, and it is the most useful thing to know when buying parts for one, because the catalogue does not use it consistently. The same physical floor turns up listed as F22, as F87, as M2 and as M240i depending on which maker drew the part and which car they had in mind.
You can see it in the parts themselves. Corbeau list a single sub-frame as the BMW M2 on the F22 chassis, one part covering what other makers split into two listings. That is the maker telling you the floor is shared.

Five makers cover this car. PCI make the sliding sub frame, which keeps the seat moving fore and aft after fitting. OMP, Planted, Recaro and Corbeau make direct fit base mount frames, which sit the seat lower and set the position once.
What confuses people is the naming rather than the fitment. OMP, Planted, PCI and Recaro each list an F22 part and a separate F87 part, and separate M2 and M240i parts on top of that. Corbeau take the simpler route and list one part as the M2 on the F22 chassis.

Reclining and base mounted seats
Most F22s are still road cars, and a reclining shell keeps them that way while fixing the support.
The Recaro Sportster CS lists no waist restriction at all, and there is a heated version of it, which on a car driven through the winter is worth the difference. The Cobra Monaco Pro is the dual fitment seat that suits either route.

The frame naming is the only genuinely confusing part of this car, so settle that first and the rest is simple. A sliding sub frame with a reclining shell suits a road F22, and a direct fit frame with a fixed back shell suits a track one. Why do I see F22, F87, M2 and M240i parts for what looks like one car?
Because the makers catalogue by the model they had in mind rather than by the chassis code alone. The floor is shared, which you can see from Corbeau listing a single sub-frame as the M2 on the F22 chassis. If you are unsure which listing suits your car, send us the registration.
Are the prices the same across those listings?
Not always. Because they are separate listings they carry separate prices, and the difference can be twenty pounds or so on the same style of frame. Ask us and we will price the options for your exact model rather than leaving you to guess.
Can I keep the seat adjustment?
Yes, with the PCI sliding sub frame, which keeps the fore and aft travel after fitting. The direct fit frames from OMP, Planted, Recaro and Corbeau are the base mount route and set the position once.
Can I use a Sparco seat on the Recaro frame?
No. Recaro sub-frames are drawn for Recaro seats only. The base mount pattern shared by Sparco, OMP and Corbeau is the flexible one, so those three cross over onto the same frames.
Is a heated bucket seat available?
Yes. The Recaro Sportster CS comes in a heated version, which is a sensible thing to have on a car used through a British winter and rarely offered on a seat of this type.
