A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Toyota Land Cruiser 60 Series, J60, from 1980 to March 1986. Part number SB268.

The month matters. Toyota changed the seat mounting partway through 1986, and vehicles built from April that year take SB266.

Find the build date on the plate rather than going by the registration year, because those two do not always agree. If you cannot find it, send us a photograph under the seat and we will work it out.

The 60 Series is where comfort arrived

Toyota built the J60 as the first Land Cruiser aimed at families as well as work, with a proper interior and, eventually, air conditioning. It kept the solid axles and the capability, which is why it is the generation people now restore rather than use up.

Buy for the distance

These are expedition vehicles. A hard racing shell is the wrong tool for eight hours on corrugated gravel. Ask us about the more heavily padded options, and about neoprene rather than velour.
