A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Buick Skylark, 1964 to 1967. Part number SB218.

The A-body Skylark, and the generation that gave us the Gran Sport. It shares a floor with a family of General Motors cars of the period, including the Oldsmobile Cutlass and the Pontiac GTO, though each takes its own part number here.

Buick did things differently

The Gran Sport used Buick’s own nailhead V8 rather than a Chevrolet engine, which is why parts hunting on one of these is its own discipline and why the cars have a following separate from the more obvious muscle cars.

Reversible on a sixty year old car

The bracket picks up the factory mounting points so the original seats come out whole and nothing is cut. On a car of this age that is the difference between a modification and damage.

Practical

Lift the carpet and look properly. American floors of this age are rarely original and repair panels are common, and a bracket can only feed seat load into sound structure.

Ask us about retro trimmed shells, which suit the period. Handed, so order twice for a pair.
