The 510 is the car that established Datsun as a serious manufacturer. Independent rear suspension and an overhead cam engine in a cheap saloon, at a time when nobody else was offering that, and a Trans-Am championship to prove the point.
Which is why they are historic racing cars now
Most 510s being built today are being built to compete, not to commute. That changes the conversation: if you are running in a historic class, tell us the class before you order anything, because those rulebooks are frequently specific about seats and mounting and getting it wrong is an expensive way to find out.
The floor is the real question
Fifty five year old Datsun floorpans are not famous for surviving. This is not a formality on a 510: get the carpet up and look properly at the metal round every mounting point, and be prepared for the answer to be that it needs metalwork first.
