A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Audi A4 and S4 on the B5 chassis with manual seats, 1994 to 2002. Part number SB005.

Manual seats is the fitment

Read that before ordering. Audi cars of this era split by whether the seats are powered, because the motors and their mounting change the floor arrangement. The powered seat version is SB002.

Look under the seat. If there are switches on the seat base and a loom running to it, you have powered seats and want the other part. If adjustment is by levers and a handwheel, this is the one. Send us a photograph if it is not obvious.

What a B5 is worth building

The 1.8T is the cheap route and it takes tuning readily. The S4 with the twin turbo 2.7 V6 is the serious one, and the RS4 Avant built on this platform is one of the great fast estates.

Twenty five to thirty years old. Get the carpet up and check the metal round the mounting points before you spend anything.
