VW Scirocco Mk3 bucket seat guide
2008 to 2017
This is the modern Scirocco, launched in 2008 after VW revived the name for an unrelated car on a different platform to the classic Mk1 and Mk2 coupes. Six brands confirm a fitting frame: M2, Sparco, OMP, Planted, Cobra and Recaro.
The roll cage range is unusually wide for this car: OMP, Custom Cages and JP Cages between them offer eight different cages, from a budget DIY half cage through to a full multipoint weld-in.

Six fitting frames
M2 confirm a direct fit frame for the Scirocco Mk3 at £166.20. Sparco offer one at £95.40, OMP at £127.64, Planted at £224.95, Cobra at £255.00 and Recaro at £371.70. All bolt to the factory floor mounting points.

The Sparco Sprint at £252.00 and the Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 are the entry point. The OMP Champ-R at £381.60 the Mirco RTS-2 Velour at £349 and the Sparco Evo L QRT at £612.00 sit in the middle. The OMP RT Carbon/Fibreglass at £707.96, the Cobra Sebring T GT RT at £729.00 and the Cobra Suzuka T RT Track at £524.10 sit toward the top, and the Recaro Pole Position FIA at £995.40 and the Pole Position with ABE at £1,039.50 sit at the top of the range.

The Sparco R100 and R100 Vinyl at £235 are the entry point. The Sparco R500 Fabric and R500 Sky sit around £275 to £290, and the Cobra Daytona at £599.00 sits above them. The Cobra Misano Anniversary at £1,649.00 and the Recaro Cross Sportster CS with Side Airbag at £2,135.70 sit at the top of the range, and the Corbeau Sportline RRB Black, Sportline RRS and SVR Vinyl pairs, from £996.00 to £1,020.00 work out at roughly half those figures per seat.

Harnesses
There is no harness made specifically for the Scirocco Mk3, so you are fitting a universal belt and working out the mounting yourself. The standard rear seat belt mounts are not rated for harness shoulder strap loads, so one of the cages below, a bolt-in harness bar, or a fabricated anchor point is needed.
The Schroth Profi 3×2 at £444.01 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £294.00 are both FIA 8853-2016. The TRS Magnum 4 Point at £246.00 is FIA 8854-1998. All three carry a stamped expiry date regardless of wear. For a road or trackday car, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less, though none of those four are HANS compatible.

OMP add a 6 Point Bolt In at £1,872.88 and a Multipoint Weld In at £1,782.90, and Custom Cages build a T45 Multipoint kit at £1,818.30.
If competing, check the specification against your class regulations before ordering, and keep the sign-off paperwork with the logbook. Pad any tube within reach of a helmet, and tell your insurer, because a cage is a notifiable modification.

No. This is a modern car launched in 2008 after VW revived the Scirocco name. It shares nothing mechanically with the classic Mk1 or Mk2, which have their own separate guides.
