The VW Scirocco mk3 (2008-2017)...
The new model, identified by the internal type numbers 137 or 1K8, is based on the PQ35 platform of the Golf V and was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. It went on sale in summer 2008 in Europe, with sales in other countries beginning early 2009. The Type 3 Scirocco won “Car of the Year 2008” from Top Gear Magazine .
Once you start using your VW Scirocco mk3 for fast road and track use, you’ll soon realize just how much you need new bucket seats to provide more support.Â
On cornering, you may find your self holding onto the steering wheel tighter than usual, tensing your thighs and legs against the central console and/or door card. You’ll probably find your weight shifting in the seat and having to re-position your self after the corner.Â
None of this is correct. Your seat should provide the right level of support so that you can grip the steering wheel only for steering, your legs should be supported and your weight shouldn’t shift around. The recommendations we provide are to ensure that you feel comfortable and supported allowing you to focus on the job at hand.Â

Recommended brackets:
We recommend all sub-frames along with our universal side mounts for standard-sized bucket seats, and specifically our OMP frames that feature a wider 405mm bolt pattern for XL seats. We recommend using these subframes without side mounts for sports recliners. Our M2 Motorsport frames have adaptation plate options to make them compatible with base-mounted seats.Â
We recommend Cobra frames along with Cobra side mounts to install only Cobra bucket and reclining seats.Â
