T230, 2000 to 2005
The T230 is the sharpest-looking Celica Toyota built and the last one sold in the UK. Two fitting frames are confirmed for it, one from Planted and one from OMP, both base mount. From there the seat you pick decides whether side mounts get added, and this generation has a wider spread of FIA seats confirmed than most.

The fitting frame
Two frames are confirmed for the T230: Planted Technology at £222.60 per seat and the OMP 7th series direct fit subframe at £135.92. Both are base mount and bolt to the factory floor mounting points. Two seats on this page also list base mount directly, the OMP TRS-E Velour and the OMP TRS-X, so they fix straight to either frame with nothing added. Everything else is side mount and needs a set of side mounts on top.

FIA competition bucket seats
Every seat here carries FIA 8855-1999 homologation. The OMP TRS-E Velour at £239.40 is the cheapest and lists both mounting types, covering 28in to 36in waist across a 28in to 32in and a 32in to 36in listing. The Cobra Imola Pro-Fit at £624.00 is listed for a narrower 28in to 32in waist, worth knowing if you are on the slim side, and the Sparco Evo L QRT at £612.00 sits at the top of the range.

Reclining sport seats
For a T230 doing road miles, a reclining seat fixes to the frame with no side mounts. The Sparco R100 and R100 Martini Racing both sit on 345mm x 271mm, matching the Sparco runner above. The Cobra Daytona at £599.00 is the premium single-seat option, and three Corbeau pairs, the SVR Vinyl, Sportline RRS and Sportline RRB, round out the range at around half their pair price per seat.

Our recommendationStart with the OMP TRS-E if you want no extra hardware
With two frames confirmed and a wide seat range, the choice on a T230 is mostly about the seat. Cameron works out the fit and the best combination for a given car, so tell him whether you want a seat that goes straight on or whether side mounts are already part of the plan.
Harnesses
There is no harness made specifically for this car, so you are fitting a universal belt and working out the mounting yourself. The standard rear seat belt mounts are not rated for harness shoulder strap loads, so a cage, a bolt-in harness bar, or a fabricated anchor point is needed.
The Schroth Profi 3×2 at £370 and the TRS Magnum 6 Point Superlite at £294.00 are both FIA 8853-2016. The TRS Magnum 4 Point at £139 is FIA 8854-1998. All three carry a stamped expiry date regardless of wear. For a road or trackday car, the Takata Drift II and III and the TRS Clubman belts cost less, though none of those four are HANS compatible.

Roll cages
Custom Cages build two roll cages specifically for the T230: a Multipoint CDS Roll Cage Kit at £1,311.00 and a Multipoint T45 Roll Cage Kit at £1,818.30. The T45 kit uses a stronger, lighter tube for the same points, which is the usual trade-off between the two materials.
If competing, check the specification against your class regulations before ordering, and keep the sign-off paperwork with the logbook. Pad any tube within reach of a helmet, and tell your insurer, because a cage is a notifiable modification.
