2012 to 2019

The Mk4 Clio, 2012 to 2019, covers the standard hatchback through to the RS200 and RS250 Renaultsport models. Sparco, OMP and Recaro all build subframes for this shell, and SW Motorsports offer a bolt-in half cage confirmed for the RS200/RS250.

Mounting

The Sparco Direct Fit Sub-frames at £72.50, the OMP 4 Series Direct Fit Subframes at £102.92, and the Recaro Direct Fit Sub-frames at £215.25 are all confirmed for the Mk4.

The Sparco FIA Steel Side Mount Brackets at £75, the SW Motorsports Seat Side Mounts at £100, the Endurance Motorsport Sliding Runner Kit at £34, and the Sparco Seat Sliding Runner Kit at £34.95 give further fixing options.

Competition bucket seats

The OMP TRS-X Steel Frame at £220 and Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 are the accessible starting points. The OMP Champ-R at £318 and Mirco RS2 3D Fibreglass at £354.50 sit a step up. The Sabelt GT3 at £431, Cobra Suzuka T GT RT Track at £480.83, and Sparco Evo QRT at £475 are further options. The Corbeau Sprint X System 1 at £575 and Corbeau Pro Series X System 1 at £610 are the top of the range for a Mk4 built properly for competition.

The Cobra Monaco Pro FIA at £235 is the practical starting point for a track day Mk4. The Sabelt GT3 at £431 is a strong mid-tier choice. For a Mk4 built properly for competition, the Corbeau Pro Series X System 1 at £610 gives the strongest support here.

Reclining sport seats

The Auto Style Type BS5 at £295 and Sparco R100 Martini Racing at £291.66 are the accessible starting points. The Sparco R333 at £374.56 sits a step up. The Recaro Sportster CS at £1317.75 and Recaro Sportster CS With Heating at £1795.50 are further options. The Sparco SPR at £1549.12 is the top of the range.

Roll cage

The SW Motorsports Bolt In Half Roll Cage at £643.33 is confirmed for the RS200 and RS250 and is the only cage we currently list for this car.

Harnesses

Harnesses need a roll cage or harness barA 4-point, 5-point or 6-point harness with separate shoulder straps needs proper attachment points above and behind the seat. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar before using anything above a 3-point belt.

The TRS Clubman 3-point bolt-in at £80 and 4-point clip-in at £100 both use the standard seat belt anchor points and do not need a cage. For 4-point competition use, the TRS Magnum 4-point FIA at £205 and the Takata Drift II at £229 are the step up.

For 6-point harnesses, the cage goes in first. The TRS Magnum 6-point Superlite FIA at £245, the Takata Drift III at £270, and the Schroth Profi 3×2 at £370.01 all suit a caged Mk4 going to competition or serious track days.

The TRS Clubman 4-point clip-in at £100 covers a road car with no cage. If you have fitted the SW Motorsports half cage, the Takata Drift III at £270 is a well proven 6-point option for track use.

Common questions

The Sparco Direct Fit Sub-frames at £72.50 are the practical choice. OMP and Recaro options are also confirmed for the Mk4.

Yes, the SW Motorsports Bolt In Half Roll Cage at £643.33 is confirmed for the RS200 and RS250 and is the only cage we currently list.

No. A 6-point harness needs anchor points above and behind the seat for the shoulder straps. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar first.

A competition bucket holds you better through a corner but is harder to live with day to day. A reclining seat keeps more factory comfort while still improving on the standard seat.
