One Recaro direct fit sub-frame for the Volkswagen Transporter T5, 297.5; a passenger seat needs a second one.

Fitment

The 2003 to 2015 T5, van and Caravelle. Recaro’s frame bolts to the van’s own mounting points and puts a sport seat where the factory seat sat. If the conversion wants the seats to swivel, that is a separate base under the frame; tell us and we will list it.

The car side of the fitting

Vehicle-specific, so it fixes to the seat mounting points this car left the factory with, and sits a Recaro seat at the height Recaro intended.

How a Recaro mounts

The seat itself fixes through its sides, to Recaro side mounts, and this frame is what the mounts bolt to. Recaro’s statement is that the seat and its side mounts are homologated as a complete system. Order the mounts alongside the frame.

Send us the registration and the seat model and we will put the frame, the side mounts and any runners together for you.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.
