Recaro sub-frame for the Volkswagen Bora Mk4 at 367.5. The price is for one side.

What the frame does

It replaces the standard seat base with one made for this car, bolted through the factory points, at Recaro’s intended seat height.

Which car

The Bora is the Mk4 Golf saloon and shares its floor with it. Recaro list the frame for the Golf Mk4; we list it under the Bora so a Bora owner finds it without having to know that.

Homologated as a system

The frame is the bottom of a three-part stack: frame, Recaro side mounts, seat. Recaro homologate seat and side mounts together as one system, and the mounts are a separate part.

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Availability

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.

In-store displays:

Alongside this, we also stock and display HANS devices, harnesses, race-wear, race-suits, FIA helmets and various other safety equipment. If you are looking to visit us to see and try any particular seat or product, please contact us in advance and we’ll be happy to help.

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.
